| About college | GMC Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala's oldest medical college (1951), runs one of the state's most extensive Allied Health Sciences departments, spanning 12+ paramedical courses. Its School of Optometry (est. 2010, part of the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology) makes it only the 2nd government institute in India, after AIIMS Delhi, to offer a 4 - year professional Optometry degree. |
